Strategic Planning
The context for strategy development in the public sector has
shifted considerably in recent years, with the increasing
emphasis on multi-agency strategic planning and the importance
of an integrated approach, bringing together workforce
development, service re-design and IT in integrated service
improvement and benefits delivery plans.
Portico can help with strategy development and option
evaluation work across a broad range of complex policy
implementation and information related issues. We have extensive
experience of strategic reviews to support multi-agency
implementation of key service areas in line with national and
local programmes/targets, for example around older people,
mental health services, and children’s services.
We also have extensive experience of working on
organisational options and governance arrangements to support
strategic planning and change in complex multi-agency
arrangements. Assignments have been carried out at
national, regional and local levels in this area.
Health and social care has been a core area for our strategy
work but we can also bring considerable experience of strategy
development and review in education and charity/not-for-profit
sectors.
